Last Thursday, I had an amazing meal at Central with my girlfriends. We all thought we would need to call in fat to work the next day, as we had a ridiculous amount of amazing food. One of the most famous items on the menu is the candy bar. And while I thoroughly enjoyed this taste of nutella heaven, I wanted to see if it stacks up to Gramma Betty's kit kat bar dessert. So Mr. Fancy Pants Michel Richard, let's see how you like gramma's version! *
Melt 1 C butter
Add 1/2 C milk (I use soy)
1 1/3 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
2 C crushed fine graham cracker crumbs (about 14 crackers)
Boil all of these things together for about 5 minutes.
Line a 9x13 inch pan with club crackers, flat side downPour 1/2 of the mix over the crackers.Place another layer ofcrackers, then pour the rest of the mix over the top. Layer one final layer of crackers, flat side up.
Oh wait, there is more! To make the frosting, melt together 2/3 C chocolate chips and 2/3 C butterscotch chips. Add in 1 C creamy peanut butter. Stir together and pour over the bars. Ahhhh, gramma heaven!
